카지노We take a look at the highlights of the 26th round of the K League 2.

□ Match of the Round – ‘Anyang’ vs ‘Ansan’, two teams that couldn’t keep the momentum going

Anyang set the tone with a 2-0 win over first-placed Gimcheon in Round 24, but the momentum didn’t last long as they were held 0-1 by Gimpo in Round 25. Against Gimpo, they had more than twice as many shots as their opponents and dominated in terms of possession, but were unlucky not to score.

Anyang is currently in fifth place with 38 points. Only three points separate them from second-placed Gyeongnam. That’s enough to move up to second place in one round. On the other hand, the difference between Anyang and seventh-placed Jeonnam is four points. If they slip up, they could fall to mid-table.

Ansan also failed to continue their winning streak, losing 0-2 to Chungbuk Cheongju in Round 25. The head-to-head record between the two teams over the past two seasons shows that in 2021, Ansan won three games and drew one, while in 2022, Anyang won three games and drew one. The first meeting this season ended in a 1-1 draw. The second meeting of the season will take place on Saturday, 12 December at 7pm at Anyang Sports Complex.

□ Team of the Round – Gimcheon, looking to close the gap on second place with a ‘five-game home winning streak’

Gimcheon bounced back from a 4-0 defeat to Seongnam in Round 25 to erase the pain of a 0-2 loss to Anyang in Round 24. Cho Young-wook scored one goal and two assists against Seongnam, and Kim Min-joon scored a multi-goal performance. With the win, Gimcheon extended its lead over second-placed Gyeongnam to four points.

Gimcheon will host Seoul Eland in the next round. Gimcheon has been on a ‘home five-game winning streak’ since their win against Ansan in Round 17. For the season as a whole, they have the best home record among the 13 teams in the K League 2 with seven wins, two draws and two losses. One player to keep an eye on is Cho Young-wook. He has scored nine of his 15 offensive points (11 goals and four assists) at home this season (six goals and three assists). Kim Min-jun has also had a strong showing, with four of his six goals coming at home.

To find out if Gimcheon can close the gap on second place with the support of their home fans, the match between Gimcheon and Seoul Eland will take place at Gimcheon Sports Complex on Tuesday, 15 October at 7pm.

Player of the Round – Koo Sang-min (Busan), K League 2’s only all-time starter, full-time player

Koo Sang-min is a ‘one-club man’ who has played exclusively for Busan since 2016, with the exception of his military service. In 2016, his first year with the club, he appeared in 32 games and conceded just 25 goals. This season, he hasn’t missed a game since the start of the season, playing full-time and protecting Busan’s goal. He is the only player in the K League 2 who has played every game and for the full time.

As a result of his consistency, Koo is at the top of most goalkeeper-related metrics, including 48 successful aerial saves (1st), 113 successful goal kicks (2nd), and 33 successful catches (3rd). In the fourth round against Gimcheon, he scored his first career offensive point with a goal kick that connected with striker Ramas.

Busan’s opponent in Round 26 is Jeonnam. Jeonnam is a sharp offensive team that has scored in 10 consecutive matches. To find out if Koo Sang-min can stop Jeonnam’s scoring streak, Busan and Jeonnam will face off at Busan Gudok Stadium on Tuesday, 15 October at 7.30pm.
