Arsenal FC youth product Bukayo Sakho is enjoying one of his best performances of the season.

The midfielder started and scored a goal in the Gunners’ 2-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the 14th round of the 2023-2024 English Premier League at Emirates Stadium in London, England, on Wednesday.

Xhaka opened the scoring in the sixth minute of the first half. He broke down the right flank and found Gabriel Jesus before cutting into the center. Jejuce took Saka’s pass and played the ball to Takehiro Tomiyasu in the center.

Tomiyasu played a non-stop pass to Saka, who drove into the center of the box, beat one defender with ball control before shooting with his right foot instead of his main foot. Xhaka’s shot sliced through the hands of the Wolverhampton goalkeeper and into the net.

Arsenal went on to beat Wolverhampton 2-1, with Martin Ødegaard adding a 13th-minute goal and Mateusz Cunha grabbing a 41st-minute consolation. It’s already their third straight league win. Arsenal lost 0-1 to Newcastle United on May 5, but have since won all three of their Premier League games.

It’s been especially nice to see former youth team player Xhaka back in action. After spending 11 years with Arsenal’s youth system between 2008 and 2018, Xhaka made his first-team debut on November 30, 2018, in a Europa League match. Since then, he has grown into a key player for Arsenal.

Xhaka had a breakout season in his first full-time campaign in 2019-2020 with four goals and 12 assists in 38 games. In 2020-2021, he scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 46 games, earning a spot on England’s final roster for Euro 2020.  토토사이트

But then came the crisis. He missed a penalty kick against Italy in the Euro 2020 final. He was criticized by England fans and had to sit out the 2021-2022 season. He bounced back with 12 goals and seven assists in 43 games in 2021-2022.

Last season, he reached career highs. He had 15 goals and 11 assists in 48 games and was named to the PFA Team of the Year for the first time. He also won the PFA Young Player of the Year award. It was a season that saw him go from Arsenal’s top prospect to a key attacker.
