Even Japan cannot afford to believe that. Rather than failing to make the round of 16 strongest teams at the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Asian Cup, Korea is more surprised at the 3-3 draw against Malaysia.

South Korea’s national soccer team, led by head coach Jürgen Klinsmann, drew 3-3 in the third Group E match of the 2023 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Qatar Asian Cup group stage against Malaysia at Al-Zanub Stadium in Al-Wakra, Qatar on the 25th (Korea time).

No one doubted Korea’s victory over Malaysia. Malaysia’s FIFA ranking is 130th, compared with Korea’s 23rd.

Although South Korea had a tough 3-1 victory over Bahrain in the first group match and a 2-2 draw against Jordan in the second match, the prevailing expectation was that it would win against Malaysia.

When I opened the lid, however, it was fortunate that the team did not lose. Jung Woo-young (Stutgart) scored the first goal at the 21st minute of the first half, but gave up two goals to Malaysia in the second half due to lack of concentration on defense.

After Lee Kang-in (Paris Saint-Germain) shot a free kick in the 38th minute of the second half, Korea struggled to come from behind to 3-2 due to Malaysia’s own goal and Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur) scoring a penalty kick in the extra time of the second half. Still, expectations were high that the match would be over with the victory.

Malaysia, however, was tenacious and even opened the scoring for Korea once more. Korea bowed out just before the closing minutes of the second half when it lost a point to Romel Morales. It ended the game with a 3-3 draw that looked like a loss.

As Bahrain defeated Malaysia 1-0 in the final Group E match between Bahrain and Jordan at the same time, Korea could have risen from second place to first place in Group E on its own. However, the shocking draw left Korea ranking first in Group E with two wins and one loss and six points. Korea was pushed to second place in Group E with one win and two draws and five points, while Jordan was pushed to third place in Group E with one win, one draw and one loss and four points.

Korea won 3-1 against Bahrain on the 15th, but its performance was not well-received. Even after scoring the first goal, the team gave up a tie amid defense instability, and struggled to add two goals to earn three points.

The match against Jordan on the 20th was the worst. Despite Son Heung-min’s penalty kick opening goal, the team failed to cope with Jordan’s strong attack and suffered a reversal. Park Yong-woo’s own goal blew the lead and even contributed a come-from-behind goal. Even if the team tied the game in extra time in the second half, it avoided defeat. 헤라카지노도메인

Korea’s performance did not improve at the match against Malaysia. Korea had no field goal and systematic attack development went missing. The defense team lost face by losing three goals to Malaysia, which is ranked 130th in the FIFA rankings.

In the 2019 UAE Asian Cup, led by head coach Paulo Bento, South Korean soccer was eliminated by Qatar 0-1 in the quarterfinals, but the group stage had passed with three consecutive wins and no points.
